Tools & working records
Use your own inputs. Inspect assumptions. Export the result.
Compare field evidence with documented product requirements and build a review record.

Understand the method
Build a useful wood receiving recordDocument delivered stock, visible conditions, and initial moisture observations before the bundles lose their identity.

Move from storage observations to a reviewable handoff
Use the tools to record the receiving condition, storage environment and moisture observations for identifiable material. Elapsed time alone cannot establish readiness. A useful handoff shows the observations and the installation requirements still needing confirmation.
Keep the measurement basis with the reading
Record the board or bundle identity, date, location, meter and relevant settings or corrections. Compare readings made on a consistent basis. A modeled equilibrium moisture condition describes an environmental relationship; it is not a substitute for measuring the supplied boards.
Connect the record to storage decisions
Note support, stacking, airflow, shelter and changes in exposure. Mixed stock and outlying readings should remain identifiable. Before installation, review the record against the actual product and project requirements rather than assigning a universal waiting period.
Example: a delivery with two storage conditions
Part of a delivery is sheltered and part is exposed to a different environment. Keep separate bundle observations and describe the conditions. An average across the whole delivery can hide the difference that the installer needs to review.
